I've been wanting to try Rendez-Vous for a while, so I brought my mom here to treat her to a nice lunch. Unfortunately, the service was so poor that we had to walk out without even ordering. When we were seated, we asked for a few extra minutes to look over the menu and requested two glasses of water. After dropping off the water, our server completely vanished. We sat there for 25 to 30 minutes trying to catch her eye. The restaurant is small, and she wasn't particularly busy, yet she continuously ignored us. On top of that, we couldn't help but notice that every other table received normal-sized water glasses, while my mom and I were given tiny, distinct cups. I really wanted to enjoy this place, but feeling ignored and treated differently ruined what was supposed to be a nice outing with my mom. We ultimately walked out…

Huge variety of delicious French pastries, bread, and fancy desserts. They have coffee and espresso drinks, which is nice because not all bakeries do. There are several tables inside as well as on the covered patio In front. It's conveniently located off of siesta drive and Tamiami Trail directly across from the mall. You can pick up some pastries and park across the street at the mall or Aldi, and take the free trolley to Siesta Key beach or Turtle beach. Depending on the season, it picks up about every 15 to 30 minutes.

Wonderful, fresh backed goodies to leave your mouth watering 🤤. I had the La Riviera French baguette which has chicken, sundried tomatoes, lettuce & mayo with chives. It was terrifically tasty. I also had the lemon tart which was the perfect combination of sweet and tangy. I love that they have a little outdoor area that is dog friendly so you can enjoy a day out with your furbaby.

If you’re looking for a slice of Parisian charm, this delightful little French bakery is the perfect find. From the moment you step inside, the smell of freshly baked bread envelops you, making it almost impossible to leave without picking up a loaf (or two). Their croissants are buttery and flaky, with a perfect crisp that shatters in your mouth, while the pain au chocolat is decadently filled with rich, smooth chocolate. I stopped by for breakfast and had their quiche Lorraine, which was wonderfully creamy and well-seasoned, alongside a fresh salad. The bakery also serves lunch, and their sandwiches, crafted with house-made baguettes, are simply divine—light, crunchy on the outside, and soft within. Their coffee is strong and pairs perfectly with any of their pastries. Prices are fair considering the quality, and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee and a pastry break. Will definitely be back!
